PODCASTS
A new feature! We are developing podcasts with notable people in the world of pattern languages and other tools for transition. We are honored to start with Dr. Solly Angel, a professor at New York University, and one of the original authors of A Pattern Language: Towns, Buildings, Construction. Here we talk about his work on the early pattern language, his later work on urban expansion, and the prospects for work with UN-Habitat on a new pattern language project for implementing the New Urban Agenda (a set of goals to improve urban well-being).
Not quite a podcast, here is a recent tour of Christopher Alexander's Medlock House on Whidbey Island, led by the founder of The Giraffe Project, Ann Medlock. Also a visit with Ross Chapin, creator of the Pocket Neighborhood, and Neal Collins, host of the Regenerative Real Estate podcast. Led by Michael Mehaffy (Sustasis Foundation) and Rob Knapp (Emeritus Professor of Physics and Sustainability).
Here is a talk by Sustasis executive director Michael Mehaffy on "The Nature of Matter in the Work of Christopher Alexander," for the Building Beauty online course.
